Back Better Bins - Improving Calderdale's waste & recycling service

We think Calderdale’s waste and recycling service is, frankly, rubbish.

Residents deserve a better, more reliable, simpler waste and recycling service.

The Labour-controlled council have extended the current contract but there’s a chance to changes things for the future. You’ve reported it as a big problem to us, now we want to help sort it – literally.

We think that is desperately needed – not just for our community but for our environment too.

At the moment, one wrongly sorted item can ruin a whole batch of recycling.

At the moment, one windy day can leave rubbish strewn across our communities and countryside.

At the moment, you are not getting the service you deserve for the council tax you pay.

Our view is the waste and recycling service should be better and simpler – one wheelie bin for rubbish, one slimline wheelie bin for recyclables.

More straightforward for families, easier to collect and sorted by the pros to be as green as we can.

For us, that’s win-win. But do you agree?
